No-Drill AUXBEAM 8-Gang Switch Panel Mount for 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner

Mounting hardware is not included. This mount is designed to reuse the original mounting screws supplied with your switch panel. The adjustable joint accepts an M3 × 16 mm socket-head screw.

Mount your compact AUXBEAM 8-gang switch panel in a convenient lower-dash location without drilling or permanently modifying your 4Runner. This 3D-printed mount clips into an unused factory switch blank on the lower-left side of the dashboard, creating a clean and easily reversible installation.

The adjustable mounting arm lets you position the panel for comfortable access. For additional leg and knee clearance, the upper portion of the switch panel may optionally be bonded directly to the printed mounting surface using a plastic-compatible adhesive, allowing the panel to sit closer to the dashboard.

Compatibility notice

Designed primarily for the compact AUXBEAM 8-gang controller size, including the BA80, GA80, GB80 and BB80-style panels. It does not fit the larger RA80 XL controller. Other compact switch panels may fit when their overall dimensions and mounting-hole spacing match. 

Installation instructions

1. Locate an unused rectangular factory switch blank on the lower-left side of the dashboard.

2. Carefully pull the factory blank out of the dashboard. A plastic trim-removal tool can help release it without marking the surrounding trim.

3. Remove the flat plastic cap from the front of the factory blank. Keep the remaining factory clip housing, because the printed mount attaches to this piece.

4. Press the clip portion of the printed mount into the factory blank housing until it is fully seated and securely clipped in place.

5. Attach the AUXBEAM controller to the wide mounting plate using the original screws and nuts supplied with the switch panel.

6. Install the M3 pivot screw, adjust the panel to the desired angle and gently tighten it. Do not overtighten the screw against the printed plastic.

7. Route the switch-panel cable behind the lower dashboard.

8. Push the factory blank housing and completed mount back into the original dashboard opening until the retaining tabs click into place.

No holes need to be drilled into the dashboard or surrounding trim.

Optional low-profile installation

For drivers who need additional knee or leg clearance, the upper portion of the switch-panel controller can optionally be bonded directly to the printed mounting surface using a plastic-compatible cyanoacrylate glue or two-part plastic adhesive. This allows the controller to sit higher and closer to the dashboard.

The adhesive should only be applied between the controller and the printed mount—not to the factory dashboard plastic. Allow the adhesive to cure completely before reinstalling the assembly.
